I got a call from a woman asking if I’d ever had any sort of loan or credit card with MBNA or Barclays before 2009. I told her straight up I hadn’t. But she went on to explain something about these banks having done loads of takeovers, so if I’d had anything with them before 2009, it might affect me. I asked her how she could be sure, considering she didn’t even know which banks I’d used or what loans I might of had. She got a bit annoyed and insisted she never said she had my bank info. I told her that wasn’t exactly what I meant. Then she started blaming the bad line. I lost interest and just ended the call. She hung up not long after.
