I got a call that claimed to be from BT, asking me to press a button on my phone. When I refused, the person started calling me an idiot, so I just ended the call straight away.

Had a call with an automated voice from some scammer. When I asked who they were, they claimed to be BT, saying they were calling from Newgate Street in London. But when I told them BT hasn’t been there for ages, the line just went dead. Classic dodgy behaviour.

Just like the comment before mine about the IP address being hacked, this is totally a scam, clearly fake.

Cheeky recorded call saying my IP address got hacked from loads of different countries. They claimed my internet would be shut down within a day. At the end, it said to press 1 to speak to a technician who’d supposedly fix my router for free. Sounds like a dodgy scam trying to get into my PC. Too fishy to trust.
