They kept ringing about some 5-year subscription to stop scam calls. I reckon the call came from one of those dodgy call centres in India. They already had my info like name and address, but I never told them if it's right. Just to be polite, I said I'd consider it and see if they could give me a number to ring back, but as soon as I asked, the line went dead. It's only risky if you end up giving them bank or card details, so best to stay cautious.

Got a call from this unknown number, but I couldn’t answer fast enough to figure out what sort of scam it might be. Definite dodgy number, wouldn’t trust it.

They tried selling me a 5-year plan to stop scam calls, which sounded dodgy from the start. The call probably came from one of those scam call centres in India. They somehow knew my name and address, but I didn’t confirm any of it. I just said I’d consider it and asked for a number to ring them back, but as soon as I did, the line cut out. The real risk is if you get tricked into giving your bank or card info. Otherwise, it’s just annoying chatter.
