I got a call from a lady speaking with an American accent. She claimed to be from my internet company (didn’t say which one) and told me my IP address had been hacked in a few countries. She asked me to press 1 to speak to a technician. I didn’t press anything because it sounded dodgy. So, I rang up my actual provider (Plusnet through John Lewis) and they said it was definitely a scam. John Wallace here.
