I got a call from what sounded like an automated Amazon service, claiming they were about to take £39.99 from my card. They told me to press a number if I wanted to talk to someone about it. Since I’ve never dealt with Amazon like this before, I just ended the call. Later, I managed to contact Amazon directly, and the person I spoke with said it definitely seemed like a scam. They asked me to forward all the details to their phishing team via this email: [email protected][###]. Hopefully, this stops others from falling for it.
