It seems I've received a call claiming to be from British Gas, stating I've won some sort of prize. However, their first question was whether anyone in my home was over the age of 70 or receiving benefits or tax credits. Frankly, it’s hard to believe their intentions are genuine! They even inquired if I’m currently a British Gas customer, despite their questionable claim to represent the company. I wouldn’t put my trust in them at all!

We can't quite fathom why we’re continually getting calls from this number.

We let our phone calls ring out in silence since we prefer to vet all our calls before answering.

I received a call earlier today from this number, claiming they were calling to discuss my BT Business Broadband renewal. The funny thing is, we’ve already sorted out the renewal! When I pointed this out, the chap on the other end insisted, “Ah, yes, that’s valid until March 2010.” Well, that’s certainly not the case!

I've been plagued by calls from this number, which has been a real nuisance. Time and again, we've explained that we reside in the Isle of Man and are only served by Manx Telecom, making their offerings irrelevant to us. Despite this, they persist in contacting us incessantly. It's becoming quite bothersome, and it seems that BT couldn’t care less. A mate suggested that next time they call, I should have a whistle at the ready and blow it directly into the phone. Might just send them a clear message!

Received a call from this number claiming to be BT, stating they were going to deactivate one of my ISDN30 lines and that I’d be hit with a hefty fee of £2,500. Utter nonsense! It’s a complete scam. BT really needs to take action and shut this number down for good.

I received a call from this number, but when I tried to trace it using 1471, it just didn’t connect. I then attempted to call back using '3’ only to be told I'd dialled incorrectly. Maybe BT has cut off the line or something.

We'd like to mention that we've recently switched over to Vodafone. This sort of problem was never an issue when we were with T-Mobile. It’s a bit puzzling since we only have a dozen families as close friends and we've got a new number.

I received a call from some folks wanting to speak to the person responsible for managing our broadband. Just the usual sales spiel, so we chose to let them ramble on without divulging anything until they finally hung up.

I received a call from a chap with a distinctly Irish accent who seemed to be having a chat with my partner. He mentioned something about offering gas services, but my husband quickly interjected that we handle all our bills ourselves. This seemed to spook her a bit, and she abruptly hung up, leaving my elderly partner quite unsettled.

Received a call from this number, and we were curious since we’ve just set up our BT Broadband. Bit cautious, we decided to reach out to BT themselves to confirm if this number was indeed associated with their Broadband department. They reassured us that it truly belonged to their team over in Belfast.

It's gone quiet as a mouse after each response, and whenever we try to call back, the line drops almost immediately. I've had four missed calls from this number today alone.

Absolutely not affiliated with BT! Just a heads-up, this isn't related to BT in any way. Exercise caution and refrain from sharing any personal details. Even the tiniest agreement could be interpreted as a verbal commitment!

This number keeps calling me around three to four times daily, and it's definitely not one of my clients. How on earth do I get this to stop?

I encountered a chap with a Scottish accent claiming to be from BT who was trying to sell me a two-year contract for £15 a week, which is a nice little reduction from the £22 I currently fork out. He wanted to verify our names, the business name, and our postcode. Oddly enough, he already had my email address and asserted he'd be sending a confirmation to that email later today. Quite the curious exchange, really!

I just had a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be Austin, wanting to discuss my BT Broadband. When we asked if he was actually with BT, he confirmed, saying it was regarding linking a phone to my broadband. We decided against it because I really have no interest in that sort of thing. After the call, I did a bit of digging online and found this site. Honestly, I hope they get an earful - the conversation was utter nonsense!

I've had calls from this number twice already today! It's gone straight onto my phone's 'block' list. It keeps ringing away with that pesky autodialler, but at least now we can stop worrying about having to answer!
