I've been receiving incessant phone calls from Yell, practically bombarding me every single day, all in an effort to sell their advertising packages. We simply signed up for a free listing with them, and now they seem relentless in their pursuit to upsell us. Honestly, the idea of paying for an upgrade is laughable - it’s just not a worthwhile investment for us. Back in the day, Yellow Pages was the go-to for finding businesses, but these days, it’s all about Google. It makes far more sense to concentrate on boosting our visibility on search engines rather than pouring money into outdated directories.

It appears that Yell has taken it upon themselves to bombard me relentlessly with calls, all in a bid to persuade me to fork out a small fortune for an upgraded listing on Yell.com as well as in their printed Yellow Pages. I receive calls from them incessantly-easily 20 times a day! In hindsight, creating a free listing with Yell was a monumental blunder. It's had zero impact on my sales, and oddly enough, it seems they've found a way to obstruct my phone line, which could be costing me some serious cash. The rates they demand for advertising are exorbitant, and let’s be frank, who actually uses Yell in 2023? You'd be far better off investing that money in enhancing your website so it ranks well on search engines or splashing out on Google ads-those would yield a far superior return on investment. Yell is clearly a relic of the past, and their announcement about discontinuing the Yellow Pages only emphasizes that point. It’s almost comical that their incessant phone calls have resulted in a slew of negative reviews-any company that operates like this shows a distinct lack of understanding when it comes to business and the significance of online reputation in the modern age. So really, why would anyone consider paying them a small fortune to market with them, especially when they’re failing so miserably at promoting their own brand?
