I recently had a rather concerning experience involving a caller by the name of Jenny who reached out to my elderly mother, who’s 90. Claiming to be from Danska Bank, she offered assistance during these challenging lockdown days. They chatted about arranging Tesco’s online delivery service, and this ‘Jenny’ assured her she would take care of everything. After a short while on the phone, she supposedly resolved the issue and promised that someone from Tesco would contact her in the coming days. However, today, ‘Jenny’ rang again, but my mother firmly stated she had no interest in continuing the conversation. Surprisingly, the call ended rather abruptly. Curious, I tried to call back this number only to find the line has mysteriously gone dead! It certainly raises a few red flags, doesn’t it?
