Phoned O2 support centre, they were really nice and super helpful to chat with.

I got a letter from [#]creation[###] claiming I had taken out a loan with them, and they actually took money from my bank account. I rang my bank straight away and explained I’ve never dealt with this company or taken a loan. Luckily, the bank gave me my money back. Now they’re sending more letters demanding cash and telling me to ring 02890029777. It’s definitely a scam, this company needs to be reported.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, didn’t pick up and blocked it straight away, figured it was a scam.

They said they were from the O2 shop in Banbridge, calling to offer me an upgrade since I supposedly got my phone there. I've never even been to that shop! I asked them multiple times to prove who they were. Then they rang back, claiming they were a call centre, not directly O2, when I mentioned I’d report them to Ofcom. Best to steer clear and ring O2 yourself to be sure. When I spoke to O2 proper, they told me it was some dodgy third party who’d got hold of my info and were trying to set up a switch, not an upgrade.
