Reports on phone number 02889035605
9 yearsThis morning at 8am, I got a call from a number claiming to be BT. The person said there was an issue with my internet and mentioned lots of calls coming in about it. They asked me to get on my computer so they could check my settings. Strangely, the hub was showing an orange flashing light. I didn't bother logging on because it felt like a scam. Shortly after, the hub showed a solid blue light. I told the caller this, and he just kept saying, “you must be joking” over and over. I ended up hanging up straight away.BT9 yearsGot a phone call from this number just after 8 this morning. At first, there was no sound at all, then a bloke with an Indian/Pakistani accent said his name was Jerry and claimed to be calling from British Telecom. I quickly ended the call since it was clear he wasn’t really from BT.JerryBritish TelecomBT9 yearsGot a silent ring from this number early today around 7.40 am. Pretty sure it’s one of those dodgy call centres from India pulling the same old stunt, showing a fake caller ID. When I checked the other numbers starting with 0288, yep, same lot of nuisances we all know. Seems like this lot was also behind those recent calls flagged from Manchester. Even blocking their numbers doesn’t help ‘cause they just switch to a new one - absolute pain in the neck these muppets are!IndiaManchesterSubmit Your Own Report (028 8903 5605)
