Got a ring from this number, the lady sounded Indian and said she had a ‘better offer’ for my Vodafone mobile. When I asked where she was calling from, she said Acton in North London, but that didn’t make sense as the phone number seemed Irish. There was a weird echo on the call too, so I reckon they were using a fake number and the call actually came from India.

Got a call on my mobile from an Asian guy with loads of noise like he was in some call centre, saying he was from all the major phone networks. I could barely understand a word he was saying. This bloke claimed he was from Amazon, but I decided to mess with him a bit. I started talking to him in Welsh, telling him it was some ancient curse and that he'd end up dying miserable and alone. I think that freaked him out because he hung up right away. Just before that, I mentioned I’d just finished washing my windows and called him a not-so-nice name. Honestly, I’ve got zero patience for these calls now.

I got a call supposedly from EE saying they could lower my phone charges. Oddly enough, a few weeks back I had a call like this from another number. When I asked them how exactly they planned to cut down my bill, they told me to provide the amount of my last bill! I said, "If you really worked for EE, you'd already have that info, so you’re clearly not legit." They just ended the call, and I blocked the number straight away. Definitely a SCAM.

Got a call saying they were from O2 and had a half-price deal on my contract. They wanted my email to send the offer, but when I asked them to explain what the deal actually was, they couldn’t give me any straight answers, not even about what phone I have. Turned out they were calling from Afghanistan and straight up admitted they were scammers. Complete idiots.

Dodgy call to my older family member pretending to be from the Sky refund team. Thing is, she’s never actually had Sky. I was lucky enough to pick up and had a bit of fun feeding him a load of ridiculous fake info - gave him an imaginary bank (Bank of India), said I was 103 years old, and threw in some nonsense card numbers with letters. It wasn’t until I finished with “xyz” on the card number that he finally got annoyed, swore at me, and hung up. Quite the laugh!
