Heads up, that was a total scam call, stay cautious!

Right after getting a couple of texts, my phone started ringing from 02922649828 in Cardiff. The call dropped after just a few seconds. Then, straight away, another call came through from 01164880290 in Leicester, which also timed out. I got a chance to look at the texts from O2UK saying I’d asked for a one-time code and warning me not to share it since they don’t work for O2. I reckon these three calls in a row were all linked, probably trying to get me to answer so they could stop the ringing. My advice? Don’t answer at all.

Be careful if they call you. The sound was really bad on their side, but when I managed to catch what they were saying, it was the usual scammy stuff. I’m not completely sure it’s a scam since they haven’t phoned me back, but I’d stay on your guard.
