I got a call from someone claiming to be with Vodafone, saying my bill would be cheaper over Christmas. Since I’m actually with Vodafone, I was interested but they asked for personal info to “confirm” my identity. I wasn’t comfortable giving anything, so when I asked for proof they really worked for Vodafone, the guy just hung up. He spoke with an Asian accent and was quite polite, but the number looked like it was from Dungannon, Northern Ireland, and he refused to confirm that, which made me pretty wary. If it was legit, then sorry to him, but it just didn’t sit right with me.
