I've decided to block this number because I'm not a Sky subscriber, and the caller was quite impolite and wouldn't take no for an answer.

Got a second ring from this spot within a couple days. Didn’t pick up, and no message was left. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

They refused to say which company they were with. Claimed to be from somewhere in the UK, but the accent was unmistakably Indian, so I reckon it was an offshore call centre. They kept pushing me to confirm my identity, even though they already had my full name, address, postcode, and mobile number. When I asked again who they were representing, the person snapped, "How many times do I have to say?" and just ended the call. Feels like a scam or some sort of phishing attempt. Don’t fall for it.

Got a call from someone abroad, proper rude bloke. When I told him to take me off their list, he just snapped back, "No way, why would I?" Ended up blocking him straight away!

Some bloke with a thick Indian accent rang me up, clearly fishing for my personal info. Felt like a total scam to me. I reckon the next thing he’d ask for is my bank account number.

Got a call from some creepy bloke whose voice was all pathetic and sounded like he was begging for my info. Told him to get lost and now I've blocked the number.

Got a call supposedly from Sky claiming my TV gear had run out or something. Didn't bother listening too much and just ended the call since I ain’t got any Sky stuff anyway. Definitely sounds dodgy to me.

Got a call from a number that was hidden, someone talkin about a Sky TV warranty I never signed up for. I told him straight up he was a scam and to get lost. Seriously, watch out, they often use blocked numbers to try and trick you.

Another annoying call from India. Honestly, they can just keep on calling all they want for all I care.

I haven't done this in ages, but figured I'd mess with this clear scam call for a bit of amusement. The bloke claimed to be from Sky's maintenance team and said my insurance needed renewing (I don't even have Sky). I played along and kept him chatting for about 10 minutes before I got tired and told him he was actually the one being scammed. Guess what? He didn’t like that one bit and just hung up! Honestly, you should have a go at this now and then, it’s oddly satisfying.

I picked up the phone like I always do, but there was no one on the other end, just silence. After a bit, I just ended the call. If it was a real person, surely they'd say something, right? I’m not one to get tricked by scams.

I received a call claiming that my monthly repair insurance was nearing its expiry date and that I had to renew it immediately to avoid losing my coverage. I informed the caller that I'm not even a Sky customer, which prompted her to abruptly end the call. Quite odd!

I got a call saying it was from Sky, telling me my repair insurance had run out and I had to pay upfront for a year or two. Thing is, I never even signed up for any repair insurance with Sky. Sounds like a total scam to me.

A guy called with an Indian accent, claiming he was from Sky Insurance or something similar. I told him straight up I don’t have any Sky services at all. He kept hassling me about some contract I supposedly had, even after I said I don’t have one. I’m pretty sure he was trying to scam me. Normally, these scammers hang up or get foul-mouthed when you call them out, but this one just kept going. Now I’m starting to think maybe it was an automated robocall after all.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming my computer has a virus. I asked him which computer he meant and he said the one at my house. Thing is, that one ain’t even hooked up to the internet. Plus, my partner’s an IT engineer and we have three firewalls in place! He was all like, “I need to get into your PC,” but I just nicely told him to jog on.

Some bloke with a funny accent called up claiming he was from Sky, saying our TV insurance was about to expire. I told him I’d check it out and hung up. Problem is, I don’t even have any TV insurance with Sky! I bet his next move would’ve been trying to get my bank info for the so-called renewal.
