Upon picking up the phone, the individual on the other end began rambling on about certain troubles I was apparently experiencing with my internet service. He claimed to be part of Sky's technical team. As it turned out, he was completely fibbing.

What a rubbish scam attempt. I had to tell the idiot on the line that shouting over background noise and being miles from the mic isn’t exactly a clever method to get folks to hand over their info so they can nick cash. They were proper novices at it, yet still babbled on for nearly 4 minutes before finally cutting off. My personal best for stringing these muppets along is 16 minutes, so no danger of beating that today, but it was a laugh while it lasted!

Got a voicemail where the person just said 'bye' when I picked up. Weirdly short and kinda confusing.

I picked up and it sounded just like the 02 voicemail playing before suddenly saying "Goodbye" and they just ended the call right away.
