I recently received a phone call from someone who introduced himself as 'William,' and his accent certainly had an Asian lilt to it. He mentioned my name and even rattled off my postcode along with my phone number, which was rather alarming. When I inquired how he had obtained my information, I informed him that I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service, my details were unlisted, and that I had opted out of any local authority databases. The moment I suggested I would escalate the matter, he abruptly ended the call. I've since blocked the number using BT's 1572 service. Just another dodgy scammer, I reckon!

Just received a call from someone using a completely made-up name and then they disconnected without saying a word. Quite strange, isn't it?
