I got a call today from this number, some bloke pretending to be a BT engineer, saying there was an issue with my broadband. He was trying to get me to let him onto my computer to "sort it out." Honestly, he had nothing to do with BT - it’s definitely a con job.

I just let it go to voicemail and they ended up hanging up without saying a thing.

Got a call from what I think was one of those call centres, they rang me up three different times. Eventually picked up and it was obvious it was spam. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

this number’s rang me four times already today. I picked up once but wasn’t sure who the caller wanted, so I just told them “you’ve got the wrong number.” they’ve tried calling a couple more times, but I’ve had a proper ignore on them.

Got three calls in less than an hour earlier today, but each time i picked up, it was just silence, nobody talking. So ive blocked the number now.

Got a missed call from this number, it didn’t even ring properly so maybe they were testing if it's real before calling back. Just a heads up about scam calls - I work in fraud prevention and loads of folks are getting caught out right now. Keep in mind, banks never ask for your PIN, one-time passwords or your internet banking login info. Plus, they won’t tell you to transfer money to a “safe” account or to type any codes into your phone (like with sim swap scams). Stay safe!

got loads of calls from some payment protection group today, around five times, all wanna check if I’m owed a refund or sumthing. they kept asking loads about my money stuff and personal info, which felt a bit off. in the end, I just said no ‘cause I didn’t fancy giving out my dob or anything, so they stopped bugging me.

Has anyone picked up when this number rings? I've seen it pop up a couple times as missed calls. Seems like it could be one of those robocallers from a call centre just checking if the number's active or something. I usually avoid picking up calls from numbers I don't know, and of course, they never bothered to leave a voicemail. Tried searching online to find out who's behind it but came up empty. Anyone got a clue who it might be?

Since I didn’t know the number, I just let the call ring without picking it up.

Watch out, it’s definitely a scam! Keep quiet and don’t give them any info.
