Somebody, sounded asian, said my name and claimed they weren't trying to sell me anything but just needed to ask me three questions. I just hung up.

My elderly mum is getting calls from them like 4 or 5 times daily. It's really not on.

As soon as I answered with a 'hello', they just ended the call straight away. The folks who lived here before us were an elderly pair, probably in their late 70s, and have had tons of phone calls asking for them. They once told me they got bombarded with calls all the time. Probably didn't expect a younger sounding person on the line, so bailed quick. Seems dodgy to me!

I received a call today, and once I verified who I am, I mentioned I was going to record the conversation. Unsurprisingly, the caller ended the call promptly. I've set up a block on these numbers, yet they somehow keep getting through using various digits; it's typically the same area code that keeps popping up.

They said they werent trying to sell anything but then went on and on with some nonsense so i just hung up. Blocked the number after that.

A guy with an Asian accent called, said his name was Peter and asked me to confirm my address and name. He claimed he was ringing from some kind of consumer group. I just answered like a robot, telling him I was a robot at the end, then stuck the number on my personal blacklist (1572).

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, kept asking my name, address, and how I'm doing today. Said he wasn’t selling anything but then started talking about the internet, felt like some kind of scam to me. Usually when I call 1471 it doesn’t show the number, but this time it did - it was 02881450005.

I tried calling that number again and it just said it wasn’t recognised, asking me to double check and try again. Sounds like it might be one of those annoying spam calls to me.
