I received a call from a centre that sounded quite Indian, claiming to be representing O2. They were pushing a new call plan, but it all felt a bit off and rehearsed.

I didn’t pick up when they rung me, but I looked up the number afterwards and found out it’s a VOIP number (Voice over Internet Protocol). These numbers can be set up from anywhere globally and are often used by scam call centres, particularly from India, pretending they’re calling from the UK to trick people.

Was a VOIP call, I didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail left afterwards.

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, offering some new phone deal. The voice sounded like that typical dodgy call centre in India, probably Kolkata or something. I asked why the call showed up with a Northern Ireland code, when O2’s headquarters are in Slough. Right after that, the caller just disconnected. I've blocked the number now and sent a report off to OFCOM.
