We've already had roughly 20 phone calls from this number today. Occasionally they engage in conversation, but more often than not, they just disconnect. Cindy and Johnny mentioned there’s some issue with BT Openreach, claiming we've received error N alerts while supposedly downloading junk. Honestly, it’s nothing but a scam; we don't even use BT as our provider. They've even gone so far as to tell our Managing Director to power on his computer! If you request a callback number or reference, they hang up immediately. I did manage to get a number, and it turned out to be Optical Express. Best to avoid engaging with these people entirely.

I'm constantly receiving these calls that show up as "international" on my caller ID. I just leave them be, but it's becoming increasingly frustrating.

This number began ringing me during the wee hours of the morning. Honestly, there's no respect for those who are elderly or not in the best of health. Such delightful little annoyances, aren’t they?!!

Today alone, this number has reached out to us around 20 times. Occasionally, there’s someone on the line; other times, they simply cut off. We had a chat with Cindy and Johnny regarding some supposed BT Openreach error warnings, claiming we were downloading unnecessary junk. It's blatantly a scam call, as we don’t even use BT services. They even went as far as to suggest our managing director turn on his computer! If you request a reference or a callback number, they promptly hang up. On the rare occasion I did glean a number, it led back to Optical Express. Steer clear of these individuals!

Got a call early today at just after nine am, no voicemail was left though. Tried dialling 1471 to check the number, but it didn’t come up as a known number. Quite annoying!

I got a few calls from someone named Cindy claiming to be from BT Openreach, saying my internet was down and there was some sort of error. I told her BT Openreach aren't my provider and asked her to please stop calling me - something along those lines!

Don’t fall for this nasty scam. The first ring came at 7.55 in the morning, but when I answered, there was no one there. Then they tried again about 9.30am, and it was exactly the same - silence. The third time, at 10.15, the person said they were from BT Open Reach, telling me my router had been hacked and my computer was crashing or already crashed. Total rubbish. When I questioned them, they got really rude and nasty. It’s definitely a con. Best to just ignore and block these scammers.

Just had a quiet call from 02880757989. Felt like someone was there but not saying anything. We get tons of these annoying calls even though our number’s unlisted. BT really needs to fix this mess, especially since they charge a fortune. We’re retired folks and they couldn’t care less about us.

Every morning at 9am I've been getting calls from a lady with an Indian accent saying my wifi is broken. She just wouldn't take no for an answer and got really rude when I kept refusing. Told her not to call again but sure enough, she rang again this afternoon! Proper annoying.

Yesterday I got a bunch of calls where nobody said a word, but then later on, someone named Cindy rang up warning me that my laptop had a virus and was in danger. Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

Got loads of calls from this number saying they’re with BT, but I’m actually with another company. One time, the caller tried to talk about some computer issue, and I jokingly said “oh, really?!” then she just snapped back with “yeah, idiot” and hung up on me! Honestly, I’m left wondering who’s the real idiot here?? ??

This number kept ringing me up, saying they were from BT, but I’m actually with another phone company. Once, the person on the line told me it was regarding my computer, so I jokingly responded “oh, right!” and then she snapped back with “yeah, idiot” and just ended the call! I’m left thinking, who’s the real idiot here?? ??

Got a call from 02880757989, some random number saying they wanted to do a survey. When I said we were busy, this bloke insisted we weren’t. Then out of nowhere he told my missus to **** off and just cut the line. Proper rude!

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, saying my computer was infected with some dangerous files. I played along for a bit, got passed up to what they said was a senior tech. Messed around with him too, but once he asked what was showing on my screen, I just said, "That screen that shows when some dodgy bloke tries ripping you off." He quickly lost it and called me some rude names. Think it could have been a scam? ;)

I've been getting loads of annoying calls from an Indian call centre claiming they’re from BT Openreach. They say there’s something wrong with my computer and try to get me to pay for fixes that aren’t even real. Total scam artists, just trying to fool anyone who doesn’t know better.

Before picking up, I checked this site as I kept getting calls from this number. I recently switched to Plusnet and this phone keeps buzzing me. I think I've finally blocked it now. Once I did answer and there was silence after a few rings - no one said a word. Feels like just one of those silent calls, probably no one on the other end. Seems like the number just keeps calling out non-stop.

Somebody rang saying they were from BT, telling us our internet was compromised and that we needed to fix our computer settings. When I asked for any sort of verification that she was legit, she got quite rude. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone called Sindy, sounded Asian, claiming she was with BT Openworld. She said my computer had virus issues or something. I told her, nah, my PC’s all good and I’m actually an IT engineer so I know my stuff. After that she just ended the call.

Got a phone call from Cindy, who had an asian accent and said she was from BT Openreach. She claimed my computer was infected with dangerous viruses and told me to switch it on. I just told her straight up that she was talking rubbish. She said, 'You reckon this call’s not real then?' I said I knew it wasn't a genuine call at all. She then thanked me for my time and ended the call. I’m not even a BT customer!
