I got a call on my BT line from this number (02879471025) where a woman said her name was "Jennifer," but she sounded like she was from India or Pakistan. She went on about some issues with my router, blaming it on certain apps I might be running, and asked me to put the "TeamViewer" app on my computer. I told her I knew exactly what TeamViewer was and questioned why they'd need to access my computer like that. Right after that, she just hung up. I informed BT, and they passed it onto their security team and blocked the number on my line. Definitely a dodgy call to watch out for.

Got a call from a number with a Magherafelt dialling code. I answered and there was just silence for a bit, then a man with an Indian accent began talking. I only managed to catch something about a department before I ended the call. I’ve blocked the number since.

I got a call from a bloke, sounded like he was from either India or Pakistan, saying he was with BT. He told me there was an issue with my internet that was messing up the main frame or something like that. Supposedly, he wanted to help me fix it. Then he started asking what gadgets I had hooked up to my Wi-Fi. I tried asking his name a couple of times, but he just brushed it off and kept asking about my devices. After I pressed him about his name again, he just ended the call. Pretty sure it was a scam. Stay clear of this one!

Tried calling the number back and it didn’t show up on my phone, which just makes me more certain it’s dodgy. These scams are getting really old, like ancient.
