9 yearsthis guy called saying he was from bt internet and started with 'good afternoon' when it was still early morning! i asked him for my bt account number and he gave me some random mix of letters and numbers using some kinda alphabet code, way too fast for me to write down since i had no pen or paper. then i asked what name was on the account and he said someone we didn’t even know. a bit irritating but kinda believable since our internet has been acting up lately.9 yearsI got a call from some bloke claiming there was a problem with my BT internet, sounded like a typical scam from India. I just let him carry on chatting nonsense without replying. When he kept asking if I was still there, I told him he must be from some dodgy place like “put putt ding ding land” and that we didn’t even use the internet. He hung up pretty quick. They asked me to turn on my laptop or PC to sort out the issue. They insisted that it didn't matter if my internet was through TalkTalk or Sky since BT was the main provider. When I told them I wasn't going to do that, they started shouting and telling me to f off.
