Somebody gave me a ring trying to get me to switch to a new PLDT fiber plan. I told her I wasn’t planning on renewing anyhow, and might just move my service elsewhere.

This number has called me about six times since yesterday.

It feels rather like I'm being bombarded by nuisance calls!

Blimey, this has been going on since 2014, hasn’t it? It’s absolutely relentless! Morning, noon, and night - there’s no respite, even during working hours! I typically ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, yet it’s maddening to have my phone persistently ringing non-stop. I’ve had enough, so I’ve finally gone ahead and blocked the number!

I reached out to PLDT’s customer service via email, as I hadn’t heard back from them concerning a particular number for two days. Here’s the message I sent their team: I would appreciate it if you could notify your sales department that I would much prefer to receive communication via email regarding any relevant updates or promotions from your establishment. Engaging in lengthy telephone conversations about your offers often leads nowhere-I’m left unsure of what documentation I need to provide or how to follow up. A concise email from this number (028753480) detailing any promotions or issues related to my account would be greatly appreciated. I trust my message has conveyed my wishes clearly. Two days later, this was PLDT’s response: Thank you for your email. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience you’ve experienced. We would like to inform you that we have escalated the matter to the appropriate department for immediate attention. Rest assured, your concern is now being addressed. If you have any further queries, don’t hesitate to reply or contact our Customer Service Hotline at 171 for assistance. And guess what? Still no calls! Hehe!

Tumawag sa akin dalawang beses yung number na ito, buti na lang di ako nakasagot kasi scam pala nung telepono. Nakakainis!

They confirmed that it was indeed a GENUINE call from PLDT in Manila (02-875-3480).

Every afternoon around 5 or 6, I keep getting calls on my Globe number from 028753480, which seems to be a Philippine landline. When I try calling back, the line rings but no one picks up. It’s quite worrying because whenever I answer those calls, there’s silence for about a minute on the line. I even tried looking up that number since it’s been calling not just me but also my brother and boyfriend’s Globe numbers. It’s weird that it’s reaching all of our Globe phones and no one’s saying anything. Honestly, it’s pretty unsettling and I really hope someone can explain why this number keeps ringing nonstop like this.
