I just got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, offering some sort of preferred service. The caller was Asian and already had my personal info, like my name, which felt really dodgy. I'm pretty sure this is the same scammer who's tried to contact me before. Definitely a scam!

I got a call from an Asian woman asking if she could speak to someone with a name I've never heard of living here. Then she wanted me to verify if I was the phone account holder. After I said yes, she tried to sell me some kind of nuisance call blocking service, asking me a few questions. I told her "like this call?" and hung up. Not long after, an Asian man called from 02075 829880 and I gave him the same answer before ending the call.

This morning they tried ringing a few times, but every single call got blocked by my call guardian.

I didn't answer cause the number looked strange. As soon as my answering machine kicked in, the caller just ended the call.

I got a call that was passed through to another person, and then this bloke with an asian accent said he was calling on behalf of the telephone preference service, trying to help stop unwanted calls and wanted to ask me some questions. Seemed like a dodgy scam to me. I tried asking who exactly he was after, but he wouldn’t give a name. When he couldn’t get any info from me, he just hung up.

Didn’t pick up, didn’t look familiar at all. It’s rung about five times this past hour, only gives about 5 rings each call. Sounds like one of those automated calls to me, probably don’t wanna talk or leave a voicemail cos it’ll cost them. So far, not a single message left.
