I got a call from someone claiming they were with BT, saying there was an issue with my internet. Since everything was working fine on my end, I just told them they were wrong and hung up straight away. Later on, I looked up the number and saw it was from Londonderry, Northern Ireland, which seemed odd for BT to ring from there. Could well have been a scam, but I wasn't going to stick around and see if they wanted to take over my computer or something!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Virgin Media about problems with my broadband. The moment I didn’t play along, the call got cut off. After reading other comments, I’m pretty sure it was just another scam.
