They asked if there was anyone aged over seventy living in the house and if anyone in our household was receiving benefits-both of which we answered with a 'no'. After that, they abruptly hung up on us. Quite rude, if you ask me!

Got a ring from someone claiming to be British Gas a while back. Some bloke started going on about how my boiler is over a decade old and apparently not efficient anymore. I checked with BT and it turns out it’s a Londonderry, Northern Ireland number. But when I tried calling it back, I just got a message saying the number’s not recognised. Felt like a total scam to me.
