Today, 11th Jan, at about 3:55 pm my landline rang. I answered because I guessed it might be someone dodgy. As soon as I realised it was a scam call, I just put the phone down straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from SKY, telling me my TV and Sky gear insurance was running out soon. Before anything else, they asked if my audio-visual stuff was alright. Told them I don’t have any of that kind of equipment, and then they just ended the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Yet again, I’ve received a scam call with an Asian accent, claiming to discuss our Sky equipment maintenance! The catch? We don’t even subscribe to Sky! They ought to sort out their facts before engaging in such dodgy dealings.

As we’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, their antics are unlawful on multiple fronts. Honestly, why can’t they just vanish back under the rotten rock they crawled out from? Absolute leeches, taking up precious oxygen!

Got a call about renewing my energy supply for 13.25 on 11 Jan 2024, turned out to be a total SCAM. If anyone rings like this, just say NO to all their questions. They might try to record you agreeing, and then use it to grab control of your current account. Be careful, it’s a nasty trick!

Got a call again about my Sky equipment cover running out - classic scam as usual. Honestly, even if the cover was legit, if your Sky+ box stops working, you’re better off just picking up a second-hand one on eBay for about a fiver or so. There’s loads around since folks keep swapping to Sky Stream. Then you just move your viewing card over - the on-screen guides make it pretty easy to register the card on the new box. Sorted that way, no need for any dodgy covers.
