An unknown caller rang my 88-year-old dad, Mr Hawkins, asking for a Miss Hawkins. My daughter and I used to live at that address under that name, but that was over two years ago. When my dad explained there’s no Miss Hawkins there now, the person on the line became quite hostile, calling him a “liar” before abruptly ending the call. We have no connections to anyone in Londonderry and can’t understand the reason for this call. The whole thing felt quite intimidating. Cheers.

Got a call from some dodgy lot claiming my Microsoft licence had expired. They said if I didn't cough up about £200, my computer would get cut off. Total ransomware scam!

I got a call from this number and the person started asking crazy stuff about my private parts, saying they wanted to hook up with me. I told them to leave me alone, but then got really freaked out when they knew where I live and said they were sending folks over. I contacted the police and after a few days found out the number actually belongs to a business way out of town, about 200 miles away. It’s not right for people to be calling like that, threatening you like it’s nothing.

someone rang me claiming they were from gofor telecoms and acted like they knew all about my account, even said the exact amount i pay monthly. when i told them they got it wrong, she called me a liar and insisted i pay 8 quid a month, offering to do it for 7 with calls included. sure, i bet you can. anyway, told them to get lost and so far, no more calls.

some lady from goto telecom was bangin on bout how great they are, but when i said never heard of that company she started getting all weird. i told her i’ve got a 12 year old at home who could handle “nancy” no worries, and guess what, no calls since. job done!
