Someone rang me saying they’d spotted error warnings on my PC and told me to turn it on right away. They claimed nearly half of my programs were malfunctioning. I played along and asked if they could call me back in a couple of hours so I could look into it. Naturally, they never phoned again. That pretty much confirmed my doubts - they’re clearly not keen on you having time to verify anything.
