Today, I received a rather dreadful call on my mobile from a woman who seemed rather irate. She interrogated me about my tax payments, and when I confirmed that I was up to date, she accused me of lying and threatened that jail was looming if I didn’t cough up cash immediately. I quite firmly told her where to go - I've got my tax affairs in order, thank you very much! It was clear to me she wasn’t anyone from HMRC.

Got a call claiming HMRC had an arrest warrant out for me, and they told me to press 1 right away for more info. Definitely a total scam, don’t fall for it!
