A woman rang up asking for my missus by name. She had a bit of an Irish or Scottish twang in her voice. As my wife wasn’t around, I inquired about who it was on the other end. The caller wouldn’t divulge her identity or the purpose of the call. All she said was, "It's just a courtesy call, and I can't share any details, I’ll ring back later," and promptly hung up. If this was a legitimate matter, her approach was quite curt. It’s perfectly reasonable to ask for a caller’s identity, after all!
