These folks are total scammers from Asia. They say they’re with the “Windows Technical Team” and try to convince you there’s an issue with your computer that they want to fix. Absolute rubbish.

Some guy called claiming to be from Microsoft and said my computer had dodgy files that needed fixing. Thing is, I wasn't even online then, so after about six minutes of him going on, I just told him there's no way he's getting into my computer.

Got a call from some bloke pretending to be John from Microsoft saying he needed to speak to whoever owns the computer. I just told him he was a dodgy scammer and that Mohamed would sort him out proper, if you know what I mean. That seemed to rile him up loads, and then he started threatening to bomb my place. What a laugh that was!

I answered and all I heard was a hello and some weird background noise, so I just put the phone down and dialled 1471 to check who it was.

Rang me at 09:25, just like the experiences others have described. There was a racket in the background, so I requested him to repeat his name. He claimed to be "Harry Wilson" and mentioned he was from Microsoft. I replied with a casual "Right, go ahead," and he responded quite puzzled, asking, "Why should I go on?" before abruptly ending the call. Not entirely convinced he grasped my meaning of "go ahead"!

So they claimed they'd sort it out or something. Luckily I got my trusty CPR1200 call blocker and basically shut him up before he could start blabbering away. Honestly, that gadget is brilliant! A quick zap and they just disappear!

Well, it seems that a chap named John Watson, hailing from South India, had quite the cheek! He kept me yapping for nearly fourteen minutes, all while I wasn't even at my computer! We had a bit of a laugh too-I advised him to brush up on the International Phonetic Alphabet since he was claiming F stood for fire! I jestingly mentioned that while he was having this chinwag with me, he couldn't possibly dupe anyone else. He just carried on regardless, though. Safe to say, he’s definitely peddling a scam!

Got a call from a guy claiming he was John Watson from Microsoft, apparently somewhere in South India. Managed to keep him on the line for nearly 14 minutes, just messing about since I wasn’t even near my PC. I ended up giving him a tip - he really ought to learn the global phonetic alphabet, was funny hearing him say F for ‘fire’! I also told him while I was chatting, he wasn’t scamming anyone else, but he didn’t seem bothered and carried on regardless.

I answered, but the line just went quiet before anyone said anything -classic silent call stuff. After that, I dialled 1471, then Googled the number, found it on Who-Called. Had a look at the stats for that number and dropped a comment myself.

If you want them to stop bugging you, just pretend you’re clueless and humour them a bit. They ask me to turn on my PC. I just start up my Linux machine but keep schtum about it. Next, they tell me to open the Windows Event Viewer. I say that didn’t do anything. After a few minutes, the bloke calls over his manager who gives even more complicated directions. None of it worked obviously. Eventually, I lost it and laughed in their face, saying I don’t even have Windows on my system.

I keep getting calls from this number, and I suspect they're based in India. Initially, they asked me to run some Microsoft programme, which I was already aware was a con. Now, they just keep ringing me up and cackling away as if it’s a joke. Absolutely ludicrous! What a bunch of muppets!

Things got a bit heated when he ended up calling me old, so I wasn’t very polite back.

I got a call around 9:10 this morning, didn't pick up and it went straight to voicemail. Sounded like one of those call centres in India, probably some kind of scam. I've received calls from this number five times over the past three days, claiming to be from BT, insisting there’s an issue with my router. They want me to log onto my computer and follow their instructions, promising it'll sort it out. It's reminiscent of the time I used to get calls purporting to be from Microsoft, warning me that my computer had a virus. They would always offer a solution if I complied with their guidance. But, honestly, I'm not that gullible. Besides, I’m using a Mac, so I found it rather amusing that Microsoft was so concerned about my “PC.”

This number kept ringing me yesterday and again today. When I finally picked up and told the caller that I wasn’t with Microsoft and don’t even own a computer, he started swearing at me. I got fed up and told him off, especially after he threatened to keep calling non-stop since he had my number. Then he passed the phone to someone else who made some really inappropriate and creepy remarks like, "I don’t want to mess with you, but I’ll f*** you, your place or mine?" Honestly, I’m proper shaken now. If they have my phone number, does that mean they’ve got my address too?

I received a couple of calls from this number, once yesterday and again today. When I picked up, I confronted the caller about pretending to be from Microsoft and informed him that I don’t even own a computer. He turned incredibly rude after that. In response to his threat of repeatedly contacting me despite my request to be taken off their list, I snapped back with 'f*** off'. To my shock, he then handed the phone over to a mate who bizarrely insisted he wasn't interested in me but offered something rather disturbing, ‘I won’t f*** you, but I will, your place or mine?’ I'm absolutely trembling here... If they've got my number, does that mean they know where I live too?

I got a call today from some bunch claiming they were from Microsoft, but sounded like nothing more than a scam. When I asked how they managed to get my private number and why Microsoft would be ringing me after all these years, especially when their update from some time ago wrecked countless computers and caused massive losses, they got oddly defensive. It was as if they expected me to just take them at their word, which is as likely as the government actually restoring genuine legal rights here. Honestly, I’m convinced this is just BT selling off my details to dodgy folk once again.

Got four annoying calls today from some dodgy call centre in India. This was the first time they rang this particular number. Before that, they bothered me twice on 01343543686 and once on 02356487987. I reckon it's all the same lot, just switching up their fake numbers all the time. Like someone else pointed out, the number of calls has gone through the roof in the last week. I used to barely get any pestering calls, but now it's so bad I’m tempted to give them a piece of my mind. THEN AGAIN, I’m sure that’d only make them ring me even more.
