Big thanks to the Community for the tip about not answering with just "Yes" or "No." What I usually do is ask for their name first. When they throw out names like “Hubert” or “Rupert,” I like to respond with, “Really? That’s not what your mum named you, is it?” Then I add, “If you’ve lied right from the start, why should I believe anything else you say?” Most of the time, they hang up straight away. Works like a charm!
