Somebody rang me up about a PPI claim they reckoned was about to pay out. They gave me a claim reference and mentioned I'd be getting around £3,000. After that, they asked to check all my details and then put me through to someone else. But that person said the payout would only be £500, and insisted I hand over my life insurance and critical illness policy info. When I said no, I just ended the call. Really feels like a con to me. Things that sound too good to be true usually are, don't they?
