Some woman with an Indian accent rang me claiming to be from the Refund Section of my home appliances firm. I asked her exactly which company she was with and she said Home Care. That’s when I told her straight up that I knew she was calling from India and trying to scam me. I warned her not to bother calling again or I’d give her a proper earful. After that, I ended the call and blocked her number on both my phone and through my network provider.

Sounds like it was a scam call from someone in India - they just ended the call straight away.

The number showed Northern Ireland on my phone, but the voice was definitely from some Indian call centre. They claimed it was about a refund for kitchen stuff. I just ended the call straight away.

I reckon this was one of those India call centres. I wasnt quite sure what they were on about. Asked em to speak slower, then they just went quiet and hung up. Rang me on a bank holiday too so definitely not local.
