Concerned, I contacted Virgin, who confirmed it was indeed a scam and advised me to hang up immediately without engaging further. Seriously, just end these sorts of calls promptly!

We’ve got these phones called ‘BT Call Guardian’ that block out any calls from numbers you haven’t put on your allowed list. It’s brilliant for stopping annoying calls! You don’t even have to be a BT customer to use them. They’re just designed with BT in mind. We actually picked ours up at Argos.

THESE GEEKS AINT BT, THEYRE SCAMMERS FROM INDIA who want you to connect your PC so they can sneak a peek at your personal info like bank details. What really grinds me is that loads of people complain about their numbers but somehow, in this supposed advanced country, THEY CAN'T BLOCK THESE NUMBERS. It's crazy.
