I've just had a rather curious phone call mirroring the one mentioned earlier, claiming that a certain individual has ordered an Apple iPad through an Amazon account. Quite puzzling, really, as we certainly don't have any such account! The call was merely a pre-recorded message. Even though I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, it appears this call originates from Northern Ireland. Is this a sneaky way of bypassing the TPS rules, I wonder?

I've received a call from this number claiming to be Amazon, saying that an Apple iPad has been bought using my account. It’s just a robotic voice, and I’m absolutely certain that this is all nonsense. They’ve not mentioned any names or provided any account information whatsoever. Please be cautious, as I strongly suspect this might be a scam.
