I avoid picking up calls from numbers that aren’t local. Real people usually leave a voicemail, but the scammers? Nah, they don’t bother. So my advice to folks is keep ignoring these nuisance calls. About half an hour ago, they rang me once more! Didn’t leave any message though. Yesterday, I did answer and I ended up hanging up as soon as I figured out he was just another conman pretending to help with nuisance calls. Told him straight up he was a scammer and then cut the call. Now they've phoned me three times since then!

They've been ringing me every single day, but I only picked up today by chance. The bloke on the other end had an Indian accent and was going on about how we wouldn't get annoying calls anymore or something. He even seemed to know our address, which was a bit creepy, and started asking how we pay bills and all that. I just ended the call straight away. Honestly, I wish the government would sort out these relentless nuisance calls - it's proper annoying!

I keep getting these calls from new numbers all the time, it's the same scam just recycling different ones daily. I've had to block them all as soon as they pop up. Best thing is to keep caller ID on and don’t pick up if the number’s unfamiliar. They seem to use auto-diallers to see if you’ll pick - if you do and no one talks, it’s probably just setting you up for a proper scam call later on, maybe from a different number. Best steer clear of these altogether.

Had a couple of calls today from a woman claiming to be from call barring service. The first call came from one number and my phone provider stopped it straight away. Then she rang again from a different number saying pretty much the same thing. Definitely a scam. I ignored the second one.

Totally a scam. Got two calls in two days from pushy blokes saying they were with the TPS, using the name Guaranteed Telecom. They wanted £21.99 as a 'one-time fee' to keep my mum on the anti-nuisance call list. Bit ironic, innit? After a quick look around online, loads of people say these chaps are scammers targeting older folks. That 'one-off' fee? Turns into a monthly direct debit. They aren’t the real TPS folks; the official service is free, as per their website.

I’ve had this number ring my home phone about 20 times today - seriously, 20! Usually, there’s nothing but silence when I answer, though once I heard an Asian voice.
