Got a call on the office landline from someone claiming to be Lawrence (definitely not his real name!). He said our business phone rental fees were going to be cheaper from next month. I found it odd straight away since we deal with BT and have an account manager who visits us regularly. He did know the full company name but weirdly put ‘private’ in the name? He asked if I was the owner, I told him no, then asked if I was the manager, said no again. After that he just ended the call!

Picked up the phone, said hello, then they just ended the call right away - felt like a bit of harassment honestly.

As soon as I picked up, I got cut off, and when I tried to ring them back, the line was always busy.

They called saying it was for a survey, but when I told them I wasn’t interested, they actually got quite rude. This isn’t the first time either, as I’ve had calls from a similar number before. I’ve blocked both of them now, though I have a feeling they’ll probably ring me back using a new number.
