I've been plagued by a barrage of calls daily for nearly a fortnight, which compelled me to finally pick up the receiver. Upon answering, there was this rather annoying lag before the call actually connected, leaving me with an unsettling silence on the line. To my dismay, it turned out to be a company touting PPI claims. They informed me they had dispatched some form through the mail that I neither requested nor received. To my astonishment, they started probing for my personal information-everything from my date of birth to my current and previous bank account details. I swiftly ended the call and made sure to block their number.
