I received a rather alarming call from someone claiming to be from Visa, stating that 600 pounds had been withdrawn from my account. They prompted me to press 1 to get further details, so I went along with it. Almost immediately, a chap with a strong accent and poor English started asking for my name. Naturally, I refrained from sharing any personal info. When he pressed me on why I had called if I wasn’t going to divulge my name, I pointed out that he was the one ringing me. After that, I decided it was best to end the conversation.
