I received a call from someone posing as a representative of my mobile provider, claiming they could reduce my monthly fee. However, the moment I requested him to confirm the name of my actual provider, he abruptly hung up! Quite suspicious, if you ask me.

Watch out, these are scammers! They claim to be from a mobile provider and say they're giving a 30% discount. They send over a form for you to fill in and sign, but once you send it back, they just keep the phone and you've been tricked. Best to stay well away from these lot.

They said they were from Virgin Media, but when I mentioned how my phone normally shows Virgin on the caller ID, they just muttered something quickly and then ended the call.
