He claimed he was ringing from the Microsoft service centre about my computer. The chap on the other end was rather pushy, refusing to provide a callback number. Instead, he rattled off a serial number for my device, claiming it was something only Microsoft could know. He was pretty persistent, warning that if I didn’t sort it promptly, my computer would cease to function!
