Got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, offering a mobile phone contract that felt fishy right from the start. They asked loads of personal stuff, and then suddenly they were after my bank details, saying it was for setting up a direct debit soon. But they never even mentioned which phone they were talking about. I just ended the call and got on with my day. Later, I looked the number up online and saw loads of reports from folks in London, Birmingham, and elsewhere saying it was a scam.

Got a call from them and I ended up giving my info since I was looking into getting a phone on contract. I assumed it was from the company I wanted to go with. After the call, they just told me "sorry, no deal." I’ve blocked my card now, fingers crossed that stops any funny business.

They wanted loads of info like my full name, address, if I was on the electoral register, bank details and card numbers. They kept me on the phone forever, constantly confirming everything, then just dropped the call. Said it was about a sim-only offer that might turn into a contract. Pretended to be from O2. Had a look at my bank and so far nothing's been withdrawn!
