On Tuesday, 21 July, I got a recorded call from HMRC at around 10:04 in the morning. Then about six hours later, a woman rang me repeating the same story - something about an illegal case against me with HMRC. She said if I didn't pay up, I'd be arrested within a certain number of hours. I realised pretty quick this was a scam. I immediately contacted my bank to block my account and now their security team is investigating. Just a heads up to everyone, watch out for these tricks. I honestly got caught but it’s a lesson I’ll never forget.
