I had a feeling it was a scam, so I just didn’t pick up. After looking up the number here and seeing all the previous warnings, I decided to block it straight away. Cheers for all the info that gave me the heads up. I’m sure they’ll try ringing from a different number soon enough, but I’m prepared this time!

I got a call from someone claiming I was a loyal O2 customer who always paid on time and that they wanted to offer me a discount on my monthly fees. But when I asked them to tell me my name, seeing as they supposedly knew me, the phone suddenly went silent and then they just hung up.

I got a spam alert on my phone, then when I checked the message, it turned out to be a silent call.

The woman on the line spoke with pretty poor English, but the call cut out quickly because the signal was awful, so I ended up hanging up. Something felt off though, especially since I caught the word “O2” mentioned. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of calls from someone claiming to be O2 offering me half-price on my bills. I’ll post an update if she rings again.
