Got a call from an unknown number, dont usually pick up on random calls, ended up blocking it. After reading others complain about the same number, glad I did. These folks really ought to be stopped for invading people’s privacy, it really should be against the law to get hold of personal phone numbers and other private details. Absolute muppets. Our country’s way too soft about this kinda thing. I never agree to share my details with anyone, so to me, this is just straight up info theft.

When I picked up the first time, a man with an Asian accent asked me if I could answer three questions. I told him I was busy and to ring me later, but he tried to persuade me to stay on the line, saying it wouldn't take much time. Once I said I was at work and couldn't chat, he hung up. I declined the second call. Today, he rang me again, and when I asked who it was, I heard a beep right after a question confirming my name! This is really dodgy because they’re trying to get you to say "YES" so they can record it.

Had a rather peculiar experience earlier today. A woman with a noticeable accent called me, requesting to conduct a brief survey consisting of only two questions. She proceeded to read out what seemed to be my name and address, asking me to verify both. I asked her if she could possibly ask the questions before confirming anything, and to my surprise, she abruptly ended the call. Quite a shady encounter, I must say. They claimed to be ringing from Belfast but struggling with English. This is the third time they've called. I keep telling them to remove me from their list. When I ask who's calling, they ask if it’s me - I just say NO THANKS, take me off your list. They often block their number. Properly irritating. Feels like a scam that too many fall for. I never give my name, only ask who's on the line and why they're calling. 99% of the time, it’s just a pointless nuisance.

Well, newsflash for them, most of us aren't falling for it. I’ve even sent them a message using text-to-speech that wasn’t exactly polite, hoping it might rattle them a bit. I got a call from someone Asian sounding, maybe named Alex, not sure if it was a bloke or a lass. Kept pestering me to answer three quick questions, said it'd only take a minute. I kept saying no thanks, but they wouldn’t take no for an answer. Eventually I gave up and hung up before blocking the number.

Got a call from 02820765120 earlier, but I let it go to answerphone instead of picking up. Just a quick word of advice - watch out for saying “YES” when you’re on the phone with strangers. Like if they ask something like “Is that Mr Smith?” it’s better to reply with “Who’s this please?” rather than saying yes straight away. I’ve heard some people actually record you saying yes and then use it for dodgy stuff later on!

Got another call today from some company that sounded like "Verso" or something close, but it was hard to catch the name cause of the strong foreign accent. Got a suspicious call from someone asking loads of personal stuff like about charity donations, my phone and internet company, what brand my washing machine is, my mobile network, and who supplies my electricity. They also wanted to know if I’m married, own my home, and if I’m interested in supporting causes like cancer research. Definitely seemed like a phishing attempt.
