Got a random call from a bloke with an obvious foreign accent claiming he was from 'BT OpenReach' about my internet. He told me my router was apparently dropping loads of error messages to their servers. Thing is, I’m not even with BT OpenReach or any provider that uses their network. I just told him to quit the fibbing and find real work, then ended the call. These types would be a lot less obvious if they actually targeted real customers of the companies they pretend to represent. Best advice? Hang up, don’t engage, and block the number.
