I've had this same number ring both my mobile and landline. When I picked up, they claimed someone linked to my number was involved in an accident or they wanted to discuss an accident I supposedly reported. I told them they had the wrong person since I'd neither had nor reported any accident lately. Asked them to quit calling, but they kept at it, so I ended up blocking them on my phone. It's really frustrating because it seems they use numbers that look very alike, making it tricky to block them automatically.

The number was blocked straight away, definitely a scammer.

picked up the phone and before I could say much they just ended the call. these con artists have tried me before. I pretended to go along with it, admitting to an accident. then they passed me on to some “manager” who claimed i had money waiting because of supposed aches from the accident (not actual injuries though). then, of course, they wanted my bank info so they could "send" me the cash. instantly blocked.

Got calls from this number like 8 times today, and every time I picked up, they just ended the call. I’ve dealt with these scammers before - they tried the same old trick about an accident. They got me to say yes, then handed me over to some manager bloke who started talking about money I could claim for any discomfort from the "accident" - nothing about real injuries though. Next thing, they want your bank info so they can "send" you the cash. Yeah right... They're basically just exploiting people’s greed, total scam.

This lady with what sounded like an Irish or Scottish lilt called and actually verified my name first. Then she asked if I’d been involved in any car accidents over the past year. When I looked taken aback, she repeated, “You haven’t had a car accident in the last 12 months, have you?” I answered no, and she quickly said sorry, must be wrong info. Before I could find out who she was, she just cut the call. Bit strange, really. Makes me wonder what their game is.
