Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Windows, and he even knew my name! He wanted me to switch my PC on, but when I asked what was wrong with it, all he said was that I needed to turn it on to see. I kept asking for a proper reason, but he just wouldn't give one. I flat out refused. Then he started calling me names, so I told him off and ended the call. Really unpleasant experience. Best just to block this number.

This morning, 13th June, I got a call from the number 0017529411977. The person claimed to be ringing from WINDOWS and told me my computer was under attack from Russia, saying they were collecting all my personal info linked to my device. The caller sounded quite posh with a slight American accent. When I asked if he worked for WINDOWS, he said, “Absolutely.” Then he mentioned that the computer was registered to my late husband, who passed away six years ago. I just ended the call right away. It's really unsettling though - if these warnings are legit, why don't we get letters instead?

A pal of mine got a call from this number, from a woman with an Asian accent who seemed to have personal information about him, like his name and postcode. She was rather pushy, claiming that his computer had been compromised and wanted him to turn it on so she could assist him. He wasn't having any of it and reached out to me for some guidance.

I got a call from this number yesterday, and then again at 7:45 AM today regarding something to do with a Microsoft computer. It would be wise to lodge a complaint against this company and impose a fine on them!

Got a call this morning around 8.15 from a really clear voiced woman saying there was a problem with our computer. I didn’t say anything and just ended the call. Then she rang me back again about two hours after that.

What an absolute plonker rang the house at half seven this morning! I’d give anything to get hold of their number so I could have a bit of fun and prank them right back.

Got two calls back to back from someone saying they were with Microsoft. They were shouting because I didn’t follow their instructions on my computer. Weirdly, they gave my postcode and asked if I had a partner and kids. Then they accused me of running some illegal stuff and said the police were on their way to arrest me. The voice sounded Asian. Usually, these calls are just a bit annoying, but this time it felt pretty frightening.

Got a bloody call at half past seven this morning, what a bunch of tossers! Honestly, if I could find the muppet who dialled me, I’d give them a right good telling off. Absolute wankers!

Got a call from some bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft, bit of a laugh actually. He kept asking for Mr G""" - who’s been dead since ages ago, but somehow still listed in the phone book (my decision really). I told him I’m not that chap, I’m a woman, but he just ploughed on with his spiel. When I asked him why he was ignoring that, he suddenly hung up. Funny how these scammy types never say sorry or even a proper goodbye, isn’t it? That’s one surefire way to spot a dodgy call from a legit one - the manners just aren’t there.

Honestly, who on earth is ringing up at half past seven in the morning? Absolutely infuriating, those muppets! I'd be tempted to return the call just to give them a piece of my mind.

Watch out, don’t trust these calls!! Someone said they were from Microsoft and I totally believed them. Now my computer’s locked and I ended up giving them my personal details. Luckily, I caught on just before they could take any cash from me, but it was a close call.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from Microsoft, claiming my PC was riddled with malware and that my 'ID' was floating around online. When I asked how they knew it was my computer, they just threw out a random IP address starting with 198. Honestly, wasn’t buying it at all. The call came through yesterday with no number showing, and it turned out to be someone cold-calling about a car accident claim. Honestly, these types of calls need to be cracked down on. It's all too easy for people to fall for that sort of nonsense.

I received a call from a woman with an Asian accent who claimed to be representing Microsoft, informing me that my computer had been compromised. When I queried if she was the one attempting to hack my device, she abruptly replied, "I’ll sort it out right away!" and proceeded to hang up. Quite the bizarre encounter, I must say!

I spent like 20 minutes joking around with this bloke and even gave him my postcode so he could supposedly charge me £300 for his so-called services. Then out of nowhere, he called me a proper Mother &#####r lol and didn’t even bother asking for my card details. I reckon I must’ve pissed him off, just like the guy before. Honestly, I can’t help but have a laugh messing with these scammers ;)

Got a call super early, around 7.15 in the morning, from a lady claiming to be from Microsoft. It was loud and hectic, like some call centre overseas, probably India. Seriously, don't they realise what time it is here before ringing? So annoying!

I had an Asian lady on the phone who was attempting to inform me about an issue with my computer. I mentioned, "Cheers, I should really have my tech-savvy son check it out for me," and just like that, she hung up. You’d think she’d be a bit appreciative, seeing as it’s one less hassle for her to handle!

Some bloke said he was from Microsoft, but you could tell he was calling from India. I kept him chatting for nearly half an hour - 29 minutes and 32 seconds to be exact - before he started getting angry and yelling at me. Needless to say, I've blocked his number now.

some bloke rang saying he was from microsoft and that my computer’d been hacked. i kept telling him he was talking rubbish and had the wrong info, but he still begged me to switch on my PC. i told him again it was a scam and he was just reading from a script, but he kept going on that i was under attack and it was urgent. my computer was off the whole time, so total con for sure.

For the past week, I've been getting calls from this number on my home phone, sometimes really early like 8 in the morning today. Whenever I pick up, there's silence at first, then weird nonsense noise. It's so frustrating! Does anyone know how to block these calls for good?
